Tunza for Wound Care

Intended Use

Tunza is intended for homologous use as a protective covering for acute and chronic wounds. The product is applied topically by qualified healthcare professionals. The graft size is determined by the treating physician and is dependent upon the size and characteristics of the wound.

Amniotic tissue is recognized for its unique molecular structure and naturally occurring biological components, which contribute to its supportive role in tissue repair. It has also been studied for its immunomodulatory properties, including the presence and activity of cytokines, growth factors, and other signaling molecules that may help regulate the body’s local inflammatory response within the wound environment. This balanced response can be especially valuable in cases where excessive inflammation may further disrupt healing.

Packaging

Each Tunza graft is individually packaged in a sterile dual-pouch barrier system and labeled with a unique lot number, expiration date, product description, and graft size.
